The Classic Recipe

  1. Slit a large banana down the middle lengthwise

  2. Leave the skin/peel on and carefully open up to allow some space for ingredients

  3. Tear large marshmallows, or use mini marshmallows and sink them into banana center

  4. In between marshmallow pieces slide in broken up pieces of Hershey's chocolate bars

  5. Sprinkle brown sugar on top

  6. Wrap in foil so that it will open top first at the seam.

  7. Place near campfire coals, on a campfire grill, the BBQ grill, or in the oven for about 7 minutes.

  8. Carefully check to see if done. Place in for a few more minutes if chocolate and mashmallow have not yet melted

  9. When done, the skin/peel will be very dark in some places.

  10. Set foiled Banana Boat on plates to serve. Guests can open up foil and eat Banana Boat right out of the peel.
